dogfriendlystays is an independent information guide. We do not take bookings, commissions or paid placements. Our goal is to make each hotel’s dog policy easier to understand and easier to verify.
WHAT GETS PUBLISHED
A consistent check for every listing
We focus on hotels, motels, motor inns, serviced apartments, inns and resorts that regular leisure or business travellers might use. Holiday parks, caravan parks, campgrounds and private holiday homes are outside this directory.

Use the strongest available source
Direct hotel replies and current official hotel policies take priority. Hotel-group pages and official tourism sources are used when they clearly describe the property’s dog rules.

Separate costs by what they mean
An extra dog charge, a cleaning charge, a package price and a full room rate are not treated as the same thing. If the source is unclear, the amount is labelled uncertain rather than guessed.

Publish only a clear dog-stay outcome
If we cannot yet establish whether a hotel accepts dogs, it stays in our private review list and does not appear in the public directory. Once dog stays are confirmed, missing dog-number, size or price details can be shown as not published rather than guessed.

Show where the answer came from
Every listing includes a source link and the date it was checked. Because hotel policies can change, travellers should confirm current availability before booking.

Two public outcomes, one private review state
- Confirmed
- A current source says dogs can stay.
- Awaiting confirmation
- Kept in our private review list until the dog policy is clear enough to publish.
- Dogs not accepted
- A current official policy or direct reply clearly says no.
